Tiago Geitens, 19 years old, will be one
of the competitors of 9° Jet Waves Championship, that happens
in the 8 and September 9, 2007, in the Brave Brave, in Itajaí/SC.

The practice of sport increases many teaching in the life of
any person. Some choose a modality and they practice it in the
weekends, already another dive of head in the sport and they
are devoted the possible maximum and they learn how to have
discipline to workout always and dedication for not giving up
in front of the challenges. Tiago Geitens, 19 years old, he
is a guy that takes the sport seriously. Now he is a manager,
in the branch of construction materials in Canoas City, Rio
Grande do Sul, Brazil, city where he also live. Tiago is pilot
of Jet Ski, a modality of radical sport, that challenges the
limits and the concentration power of who practices it.
That adventurous, that said he is crazy, began
early in the world of the radical sports and he can always count
with the incentive of the family for that: "It began with
my father, that always liked radical sports, he got to run of
motocross for some time, when young. Then when my brother was
new, my father bought 2 jets, and that is how everything began.
I began when I was 5 years old, in Barra of Ribeiro, RS. I remember
how it was today: my brother took me to walk in a kawasaki SXI
750, and jumped in the water, I usually, accustomed to see,
as they did, I continued to walk. It was fantastic! My brother
and my father always motivated me a lot. My brother ran of jet
of 1994 up to 2001 and he always gave me many tips, trainings
and many good things. Lorenzo Zaluski, friend, also always helped
me to workout, with some clues, tips. We went to the world championship
together in 2004 and 2006. The fact that motivated me a lot,
and it marked mine beginning, it was I to have won the championship
of Santa Catarina in my first year, in 2003, and for just a
point of difference of the placed second, the category ski stock.
Until today I can't stop. If I am one week without ride a jet,
I stay already crazy, nervous, stressed", says.
And a lack of time to do everything that he
wants is one of the largest challenges to him. Now he divides
his time between the work and the sports, since he is not studying
because he intends to travel to Italy to improve his knowledge
in foreign languages. Besides Jet Ski, he also runs of kart
and in the vacations he practices wakeboard with the friends.
The taste for the kart came through the cousins, Christian and
Matheus Castro, and of the uncle, Luís Alberto Ribeiro
of Castro, that always ran of kart and they ended for stimulating
Tiago to run also. He didn't resist and it ended up changing
the soil for the water, which in the winter is a great challenge,
but anything that an appropriate clothes doesn't solve.
Company is what doesn't lack for Tiago: "In
the jet ski I always train racing with my friends Lorenzo Zaluski
and Nélio Azeredo. Already Free Ride with Fábio
Teixeira, that is beginning now in the Jet Ski. The kart always
practices with Christian Castro, and Matheus Castro". He
doesn't have anything to complain of the companies, but of the
incentive lack and patronage has, that are the parts most difficult
of the sport. But the good things that he finds they compensate
as, for example, to know new people, different places, to travel
for the world, to win many friends. Unassuming the parents'
incentive, Ademar and Lisete, his brother Ismael, and of the
friends that with him, that end up still stimulating more the
sport in the life of Tiago.
