French end defines the champions of
the Stand-Up of 9º Jet Waves Cup and 4a. stage of the World-wide
one of Freeride IFWA
In the last day of World-wide of Freeride the jet ski that happened
in the three days of the holiday of Brazilian Independence,
07-09 of September, the pair of French pilots Pierre Maixent
and Gil Beurnier had been the protagonists of the end of the
main category in the Brazilian stage of 3º World-wide Championship
IFWA of Freeride, Jet Waves. For the second time followed Pierre
Maixent it gained the Jet Waves.
The city of Itajaí hosted for the
first time the Brazilian stage of the World-wide Tour of Freeride
Jet Ski. This was the nineth edition of the Jet Waves, that
started in Florianópolis, in the beach of the Santinho,
passed for the Soft Beach, in the same city, was in the Beach
of the Village in the two last years and from this year it will
be organized in Itajaí, from a successful partnership
with the City hall of the City and the Government of the State,
and sponsorship of the Meshes Malwee, Klabin and Yamaha, beyond
support of the Pacheco net Automobiles, ProNautica Jet Ski,
ID Models, Wave Academy, Ranks Dalçoquio and Jovem Pan.
The event was organized by Marcelo “Tchello” Brandão
and the Interlog company and had the supervision of the IFWA
and the FEMOAESC.
For the happiness of all the involved ones had a rare combination
in these three days of competition, sun and good waves, and
the public sanctioned this happy combination crowding Canto
of the Bat, in the Brave Beach, during the three days of the
competition. Friday and Saturday waves of one the two meters
had been constant, the left of Canto of the Bat in the Brave
Beach, are famous, as we came namely, in the sunday the sea
lowered a little, but the waves had continued constant and enough
for an event of this transport.
After the accomplishment of eighth of end in the morning of
sunday, 9º Jet Waves soon followed after the pause of the
lunch for the fourth-of-end with some surprises. To detach the
victory of the Frenchman Gil Beurnier on the American Ross Champion,
second placed in the championship, the good performance of the
young revelations of freeride national, Leandro Vieira, Tiago
Geitens and Bruno Jacob whom they had won and they advanced
in the competitions, and the defeat of the Tricampeão
of the Jet Waves Ivo Sehn for another great French pilot Aurelien
Mejean, winner of the stage of the Spain of the World-wide Tour.
The performance of the goiano Douglas still deserves note Oak;
exactly being defeated in its battery with the South African
Jeremy Philips, Douglas carried out one of the great moments
of the Jet Waves of this year with the sensational maneuver
that carried through one, double back-flip, sensational. Other
Brazilian pilots had had good performance, but they had not
passed of eighth, as Andres Martins, the Carioca Leonardo Caldoncelli,
and the young revelation gaucho Alexander Buneder.
In the fourth-of-end the tension of the competition grew, the
disputes man-man in the batteries did not allow vacilo, who
lost would be is. Gil Beurnier came back to walk well and won
World-wide the Brazilian Champion of Freestyle. the Lenzi. It
was a eletrizante battery, minutes of incredible aerial acrobatics
of the two, but the Frenchman led best. In the sequência

Leandro Vieira won young pilot Tiago Geitens who came with excellent
performance until that moment. The South African Jeremy Philips

Aurelien Frenchman who wins the Brazilian Ivo Sehn, and World-wide
Bi-Champion Pierre Maixent finished the hopes it bahian pilot
Bruno Jacob winning it in the battery.
In the semifinals the public saw as the two Frenchmen were very
strong in the weekend. Gil came back to surfar very and to carry
through high and very complex maneuvers and flights well and
earned of the catarinense Leandro Vieira. Pierre Maixent, with
a performance of respect and a dynamics of maneuvers that had
explained for itself because he is World-wide Bi-Champion beat
the South African Jeremy Philips and the two Frenchmen had advanced
for an unknown French end in the history of the Jet Waves.

known, it faced the Frenchman Pierre Maixent in the end; Pierre
and the Brazilian Leandro Vieira is the only ones to compete
in the two categories.

others maneuvers, Jimbo assured plus a victory in the Jet Waves;

of Freeride carried through in Brazil, Jimbo alone lost an only
time, in 2003, for its proper son.
In the dispute for the third place of the category the Brazilian
Leandro Vieira came back if to give well, conquering the third
rank when surpassing the American Jerry Jones.
