> Ivo Sehn, three times champion on Jet Waves

The three times
champion in Jet Waves Ivo Sehn, will participate in the 9th
edition of this championship that will happen of 7 to September
9, 2007, in Itajaí/SC. Check the interview!
Ivo is 32 years old and lives in Palhoça/SC,
he speaks about the experience about participating in an so
important event as Jet Waves Championship. Jet Waves's world
championship has a very high level, an example of that they
are the results of each test on those last three years. Almost
always varying among the first three places".
Coming of a family of surfers, he always admired
and as his uncles has competition in his vein. Ivo used to see
an uncle that ran motorcycles. "It is very touching! It
is very good to participate in championships, I make many friends
and I have lots of fun. The emotion during and after each competition
is very good and healthy", he affirms.
It began with the jet-ski in 1985 and to compete
in 1989, lying my age in the championship from São Paulo
to compete, therefore at that time he was just 14 years old
and jet-ski floor is only allowed in Brazil with 16. It was
one of Jet Waves's idealist with Tchello, today president of
IFWA, Serjão and Matheus. Today only participate in Freeride,
but he already made speed and free-style. It was three times
champion of Jet Waves, what considers its best placements.
He only didn't participate of Jet Waves 2003,
because he had stopped of competing for patronage lack. "That
is the first year that I am receiving a support of the Government
of Santa Catarina's State, through FUNDESPORTE and thanks to
that support I can compete again. Merit of the clerkship of
the sport that believed in my work", comments.
In 2003 he just trained and in 2005 when he
made all Tour of Freeride. Out that only walked in the championships,
then he stopped to compete for patronage lack. Now with that
support of Santa Catarina's government he will train every week
again.
Whenever he has the chance up his friends to
ride together, always in the beaches of Santa Catarina's coast.
For who likes of ride jet-ski Ivo he advises,
"Never walk too close to swimmers and surfers, because
the jet is a very potent, heavy and dynamic vehicle, any hesitated
it can cause an accident. It is the noise of the motor it hinders
that the driver listen noises around".
Ivo gets ready for the championships frequenting
the academy everyday, training everyday while the competition
approaches. Besides the jet-ski he surfs, diving, kitesurf,
bike, among others.
He prefers the tests with high difficulty, same
when he was at the beginning, therefore it is a way to develop
faster. "As my grandmother spoke to me when I will compete
out and I had about 16 years 'drink with a skin tube the maximum
of experience that you can', that is to say as larger the same
level with little chance of winning, bigger will be your learning
".
He has great expectations for Jet Waves of this
year, "I am getting ready plenty, I have chance of being
champion that year, since the placed first five punctuation
is very close. I hope has good waves!"
He concludes thanking the whole ones that support
and believe in his work. Especially the family, 'Dentinho' and
family galley of By Dente and the it Clerk State of Tourism
Culture and Sport of Santa Catarina.
